SHYFT Collective's VP of Operations, Eric Simon, started off the new year with a new role: President of the Norwalk Area Chamber of Commerce for the 2019 year. Eric has been an essential member of the Chamber for 10 years, previously serving as second vice president, vice president and as a member of the Chamber’s Economic Development subcommittee.
Throughout 2019, he plans to build on goals set by Chamber members in December of 2018.
“We’ve identified three external focus areas for 2019,” he said. “Two, of course, are to support local businesses and to promote economic development. A third is to draw upon the Chamber to enhance the quality of life of all residents.”
In addition to his involvement in the Norwalk Area Chamber, Eric is also part of other community organizations, including service on the Facilities Subcommittee of the Norwalk school district’s SIAC, and past work with the City of Norwalk’s Construction Board of Appeals and the South Suburban YMCA’s Board of Managers.
