Iowa Insurance Divison Renovation

SHYFT was engaged by the Iowa Finance Authority and the Iowa Insurance Division to provide interior design, owner’s representation, move management, and construction management as agent services associated with the renovation of the 1st Floor at 1963 Bell Avenue. IID’s lease expiration created a schedule constraint that required the project to be completed within five months. SHYFT worked with both the IFA and IID stakeholders to develop the program and scope of work through our Strategic Planning process. A combination of traditional and pre-fab construction was utilized to achieve the building-standard aesthetic and the compressed project schedule. Despite labor and material issues caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the team anticipates completing the project on budget and on schedule.  SHYFT will relocate 100 associates to the newly renovated space at the end of August 2020.
