New Rowhomes Open in Des Moines

The SHYFT team in Iowa recently had the privilege of attending ribbon-cutting ceremonies for Forest Avenue Rowhomes and Park Indy Rowhomes. SHYFT provided architecture, interior design, and construction management services on both projects.

Danny Heggen from our partner development company, DEV Partners, spoke about the vision to provide an alternative housing option for consumers who don’t want to live in traditional apartments but can’t afford or aren’t ready for a single-family home. We are grateful to be part of making this vision come to life!

Forest Avenue is a two-building project consisting of 18 units located in the Drake University Neighborhood near campus and a bustling local business strip. The units consist of two-story, two-bedroom and one-bedroom layouts. The project was supported by local city officials and development partners who are making efforts toward more livable communities in the city of Des Moines.

Park Indy is located near Indianola Avenue and consists of one- and two-bedroom units. The project was designed to fill the gap between the industrial city and surrounding neighborhoods of single-family homes.

It's exciting to look back on what we have created and see how we are making an impact in the community. We look forward to continuing to work with our clients and partners to provide more housing options in the Des Moines area!
