The Ohio State University - Dulles Hall

The Department of History at The Ohio State University was looking to refresh their current space within Dulles Hall. SHYFT worked with the department to create a program of requirements identifying current staff counts and needs for the new space. Their existing space was outdated and did not satisfy the needs of the department; they were looking for a more modern and usable space. We worked with the department to create an open floor plan with updated finishes. We took an open and cluttered work area and created more usable spaces which included a more welcoming reception area with visibility into the suite, a large break area with kitchenette, a work area with purposeful storage, a dedicated mail area, and a separate storage room. Each office received finish upgrades. Environmental graphics were incorporated to identify the department at the entry.
