SHYFT Construction was approached by the Klosterman family to be the builder and general contractor for this charming two-story home in Olde Towne East.  Set near the luscious Franklin Park Conservatory, this approximately 2,900 SF four-bedroom home feels right where it belongs. With its bold craftsman-style exterior, large front and rear porches, and finished basement, this home combines a classic exterior with the best of clean and modern finishes.  The SHYFT Construction team was presented with the general build plans but relatively little design specification. Through a series of design-focused meetings, our team helped the owners navigate each phase of the selection process. While exploring texture, colors, materials, and function, SHYFT offered various value-engineering solutions for key design features like stair and railing details, a glass office door, specialty lighting, countertops, and unique tile patterns.  The end result is stunning. And much like its century-old neighbors, this home was built to stand the test of time.
