Kelsey has been with SHYFT for over 6 years, and she was one of the first hires for our Columbus office! With her time at SHYFT, she mainly works on a large corporate account, focused on projects at their headquarters located in Columbus, OH. We took a minute to chat with Kelsey about her time at SHYFT.
Q: How is SHYFT different from other real estate/design firms that you have seen worked for?
A: SHYFT offers cross functional services to help clients complete a project from inception to move in. SHYFT works with a collaborative approach between team members to successfully deliver projects.
Q: What are some projects you are currently working on?
A: I am currently working on a large corporate relocation/renovation project located in Scottsdale, Arizona. This is a ground-up construction project where our client will occupy 260,000 SF of a new multi-tenant office building. I have helped relocate 1,600 associates from five separate building as well as lead the project team with AV and graphics. I have also led the decommissioning efforts of the five old office buildings.
Q: What is the one thing you are most proud of since joining SHYFT?
A: The HUB Project – I helped lead the campus update that renovated existing unconditioned space and created a new connection between two office towers. The downtown campus accommodates approximately 10,000 associates and the new space incorporated new security checkpoints, conference space, collaboration space, a new coffee shop, and additional amenities. Our team was responsible for bidding and procuring architectural design, environmental graphic design, furniture, kitchen equipment, AV, security, and CM services.
Q: Any fun facts you'd like to share?
A: I had the true COVID wedding experience getting married in July of 2020 and we are getting ready to celebrate our one-year anniversary. I’ve flown over 25 times so far this year. When home, you’ll find me spending time with my husband, family, friends and of course my fur nugget, Birdie.
Thanks Kelsey for all you do for the SHYFT Team!
