Meet Colton Caldwell

Colton Caldwell - Construction Manager

Q: How did you get involved with SHYFT? How long have you been with us?

A: I have been with SHYFT for a few years now. I had a friend that was doing photography for them (Sam Brown), and he filled me in on SHYFT needing a construction manager and the rest is history.

Q: What are some projects you are currently working on?

A: As of late, I have been working on SHYFT/DEV Partners' historic house renovations – 34-36 W fourth street and Braxmar Place Renovation. We are also beginning work on our Old Towne East Homes and our Lathrop Zaan Homes project.

Q: What is the one thing you are most proud of since joining SHYFT?

A: The thing I am most proud of is the Buckeye Painting Project. That was my first complete project from the ground up for SHYFT and it turned out to be an amazing project.

Q: What are a few of your career highlights?

A: My career highlights are 159 N 21st Street Renovation and Buckeye Painting.

Q: How has the Matterport camera improved or affected your workflow?

A: Matterport has made it easier to show clients and owners what their property looks like without having to be on site. If you don't have access to the original floor plans of your property, Matterport allows you to able to scan the property and create a nice schematic floor plan. This helps owners decide what they want to do with their space. We have used the camera on all projects ranging from rental properties to punch-out on our multi-family projects.

Q: Tell us something unique about you.

A: I hit DINGERS in men's softball, and I also play three intramural sports.

Thank you, Colton, for all you do for the SHYFT Team!
